In a world fractured by ancient gods, you must survive four deadly biomes—from fungal forests to living crystal deserts—and battle creatures mutated by chaos.
A game engine is like a digital workshop for building games - it's a software framework that provides developers with the essential tools and systems to create, test, and deploy games efficiently. Think of it as a "Swiss Army knife" that handles the complex technical grunt work, letting developers focus on creativity and gameplay.
We chose Godot because it's like the Swiss Army knife of indie game development: free, lightweight, and ours. First, it's 100% open source. No corporate lock-in, no royalties, and no sudden license changes. We can tweak the engine code if we hit a stumbling block, like adding custom physics. For our 2D-centric project, Godot's node system was the perfect solution, plus its code has syntax that resembles Python. The 2D engine handles pixel art like a pro, without having to deal with a 3D-centric toolset. Budget? Zero. Godot's MIT license means we own everything we create. Plus, the engine itself is tiny (70 MB), with no heavy installations hogging our artist's old laptop.
Our mission is to create 2D video games with soul, that connect with people through original stories, unique aesthetics and careful gameplay. We want to offer accessible and creative experiences, using open technologies like the Godot engine, and contribute to the growth of the indie sector with a fresh and authentic proposal.

I'm the team's lead programmer and gameplay designer. I'm in charge of turning ideas into playable experiences, working with logic, physics, and mechanics to bring the game world to life. I'm always looking for creative solutions, taking care of every detail to ensure smooth, challenging, and fun gameplay.
jroque@elpuig.xeill.netI'm responsible for the game's visuals and audio: graphic design, user interfaces (UI), sound effects (SFX), and music. My goal is to create a coherent and immersive aesthetic that complements the gameplay and evokes emotions. Every visual and audio element is designed to enhance immersion and the player experience.
